Privacy Policy

Who we are
instructorkit.com is operated by Bedford, Louis & Ellicott, LLC (doing business as BLE Training), a Maryland limited liability company. “We” in this policy means that company.
What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address and a hashed password. We do not collect a billing address, phone number, demographic information, or any other personal data beyond what you give us in the wizard form (your training topic, target audience, industry, and optional brand-kit inputs). If you request a sample or join our list, we store the email address you give us and the page you gave it on.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers — you enter it on Stripe's hosted checkout, and we receive only the order outcome (paid, refunded, failed), the amount, and the email you used at checkout. Stripe handles card data under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS obligations. Charges appear on your statement as BLE* INSTRUCTORKIT.COM.
What happens to your generation requests
Your wizard inputs (topic, audience, industry, level, format, etc.) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy. We do not retain prompt content beyond what's needed to render the generated files and return them to you.
What gets stored, and for how long
We store the minimum needed to run your account and re-deliver files you've already paid for. Specifically:
- Your account (email, name, password hash) — kept while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of your account-deletion request.
- Your order records (kit type, amount paid, payment timestamp, agreement version accepted) — retained for the life of the account, then pseudo-anonymized (email scrubbed) and kept for tax and accounting purposes per applicable law.
- Generated kit files (.docx, .pptx, .pdf) — kept in private cloud storage so you can re-download from your My Courses page. Deleted when you delete your account.
- Reference material you upload (SOPs, internal notes, custom content pasted into the wizard) — retained for 12 months from the date of generation, then automatically purged from our database by a weekly job. The order itself stays; only the raw uploaded text is stripped.
- Brand assets you upload (logo image) — sent with each generation request to render your deliverables and stored on the order so you can re-download. Deleted when you delete your account.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use a single session cookie issued by NextAuth to keep you signed in. We use Plausible for privacy-friendly, cookie-free web analytics (page views and traffic sources only — no individual user tracking), plus Vercel Analytics for anonymous performance and funnel metrics.
When we run advertising campaigns, our marketing pages may also load measurement tags from Google (Tag Manager / Analytics) and Meta (the Meta Pixel) to attribute purchases to ads and to show our ads to people who visited the site. These tags can set cookies governed by those companies' policies. We do not run advertising tags inside the signed-in product, and we never share your generated content or uploaded reference material with advertising platforms.
Third parties
We share data only with the processors required to run the product, each under their own published policies:
- Anthropic — model inference for generating your training materials.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Supabase — our application database (accounts, orders, leads).
- Vercel — hosting and private file storage for your generated kits.
- Resend — transactional email (receipts, password resets, sample-kit delivery).
- ElevenLabs — voice synthesis, only if you purchase the slide-narration add-on (we send it the slide script text, nothing else).
- OpenAI — image generation, only if you purchase the AI-imagery add-on (we send it the image prompts derived from your course outline, nothing else).
- Plausible — cookie-free analytics.
- Google and Meta — advertising measurement on marketing pages only, as described above, where enabled.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time directly from your Settings page— scroll to the “Delete account” section, type the confirmation phrase, and we'll remove your account, scrub your email from order records, and delete every generated file we hold for you. The full deletion completes within 30 days. If you prefer email instead, write to support@instructorkit.com and we'll process the request manually.
For privacy regulations that grant you additional rights — including access, correction, and portability (GDPR for EU residents; CCPA/CPRA for California residents) — email the same address and we'll respond within the statutory window for your jurisdiction.
Children
InstructorKit is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We'll post a notice on the home page if we change this policy materially. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
