Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about InstructorKit.

The output

  • Is InstructorKit the same as CourseBldr?
Yes — CourseBldr became InstructorKit in 2026. Same product, same team (BLE Training), same one-time pricing. All coursebldr.ai links redirect here, and every kit you purchased remains yours and re-downloadable.
  • Why not just use ChatGPT?
ChatGPT writes good paragraphs — one at a time, in a chat window. A training kit is 12 documents that have to agree with each other: objectives that match the assessments, an instructor guide that matches the slides, knowledge checks tied to the lessons, all formatted as real Word and PowerPoint files plus a SCORM package (which ChatGPT can't produce). Doing that by hand from chat output takes hours and the seams show. InstructorKit generates the whole coordinated kit in about 5 minutes, structured on ADDIE and Gagné's Nine Events. Download a free sample kit and compare it to an afternoon of prompting — that comparison is the whole pitch.
  • What documents do I get with each kit?
The Starter Kit includes three documents — Student Manual, Instructor Guide, and Slide Deck (the Course Outline is an optional add-on). The Pro Kit includes all 12 documents: Course Outline, Student Manual, Self-Study Guide, Instructor Guide, Pre-Assignment, Quick Reference Guide, Advertorial, Recommended Reading, Quiz and Answer Key, Training Evaluation Form, Certificate of Completion, and Slide Deck. The Team Kit includes the same 12 documents built for a multi-week, department-level program. The written documents come in both editable Word (.docx) and print-ready PDF; the Slide Deck comes as an editable PowerPoint (.pptx).
  • What file formats do I receive?
All Word documents are delivered as .docx files, editable in Microsoft Word or Google Docs. The Slide Deck is delivered as a .pptx file, editable in Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides. The Word documents also come as PDFs for printing or emailing. All files are packaged in a ZIP download organized into folders. Every paid kit also includes a SCORM package — a standard eLearning format that can be loaded directly into any LMS including Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, TalentLMS, and WorkRamp.
  • Can I load InstructorKit output into our LMS?
Yes. Every paid kit includes a SCORM export alongside the Word, PowerPoint, and PDF files. SCORM is the standard eLearning format supported by virtually every LMS including Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, TalentLMS, Cornerstone, and WorkRamp. Upload the SCORM package to your LMS and your participants can complete the course online with progress tracking. The Word and PDF versions are still included for in-person or virtual instructor-led delivery — you get all formats in the same download.
  • What if I don't have an LMS yet?
Host with BLE Academy — our sister product, built to host InstructorKit training. Solo Trainer starts at $49/month for up to 25 learner seats, and includes unlimited published courses, completion tracking, certificates, and a manager dashboard. You publish directly from InstructorKit at the end of the wizard, invite your team, and you're delivering training the same day. No LMS setup, no migration, no per-seat math. Pro and Business tiers are available for larger teams. Compare full pricing on the BLE Academy page.
  • Will the output sound like me?
The output reflects the topic, audience, industry, and tone you describe. Pro Kit users can also upload their own reference material — about 15 to 20 pages of SOPs, notes, procedures, or existing documents — and Team Kit users can upload twice that (around 30 to 40 pages). InstructorKit weaves your content into the program so the output uses your language and reflects your real-world context. Every kit includes a pre-download editing step where you can refine any section before the files are finalized. (The output itself has no page limit — it's only the input we cap.)
  • How long is the output?
There is no page limit on the output. InstructorKit generates whatever depth your program requires based on the topic, complexity level, and number of lessons you select. A Pro Kit on a complex topic with advanced depth and 16 lessons will produce significantly more content than a Starter Kit on a focused topic at entry level.
  • Can I see the output before I pay?
Yes. After generation completes, InstructorKit shows you a full preview of every document before you download anything. You can read real excerpts from the Student Manual, Instructor Guide, and other documents before confirming your purchase. Pro Kit and Team Kit users can also edit any section at this stage before the final files are packaged.
  • Is InstructorKit output based on real instructional design principles?
Yes. Every program is structured using the ADDIE model, every lesson follows Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction, and every learning objective is written at a deliberate cognitive level using Bloom's Taxonomy — with each knowledge-check question built to test at that same level. These are established instructional design frameworks used by professional learning designers. Pro Kit and Team Kit also include a Training Evaluation Form aligned to the Kirkpatrick Model so you can measure training effectiveness. You do not need any instructional design background to use InstructorKit — the design expertise is built into how every kit is generated.
  • Do the slide decks come with facilitator notes, or just bullets?
Every slide ships with a written speaker-note script preloaded into PowerPoint's notes pane — typically 3 to 5 sentences of natural spoken English, around 60 to 120 words per slide. The notes are written as a script a trainer who did not author the course can read aloud or paraphrase, including what the slide means in plain language, one concrete example, and the transition to the next idea. This is the difference between a slide deck you can hand to a substitute facilitator and one that leaves them staring at bullets. The notes are editable like any other PowerPoint speaker note — open the deck and tweak any line.
  • Can InstructorKit add voice narration to my slides?
Yes. Pro Kit builds can add AI voice narration to every slide for $97, and narration is included with Team Kit and Library. Choose from six professional voices matched to your content type — from warm and friendly for onboarding to confident and crisp for compliance. The audio embeds directly in your PowerPoint and plays in any PowerPoint or Keynote viewer, while your speaker notes still appear in the notes pane. Narrated decks are ideal for delivering consistent training across shifts, locations, and time zones when you cannot be in the room yourself.

Ownership and rights

  • Do I own the output?
Yes. Completely. Once you download your kit, the files are yours. You can use them for any lawful purpose — deliver training, sell training programs, use them internally, share them with clients. InstructorKit retains no ownership rights or licensing rights in any generated output. See our Terms of Service for the full ownership statement.
  • Can I put my own branding on the documents?
Yes — and it is included in the price of every paid kit. When you enter your logo, colors, and brand name in the builder, they are applied to every document and every slide automatically. There is no extra charge for branding.
  • Can I sell training programs I build with InstructorKit?
Yes. The output is yours to use commercially. Training consultants and coaches regularly use InstructorKit to build programs they then deliver to paying clients.
  • What happens to my reference material after I upload it?
Your uploaded reference material is used only to generate your requested training kit. It is not stored permanently, not shared with other users, and not used to train any AI model. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Pricing and payment

  • Is there a subscription?
Not for the self-serve kits. Starter Kit is $129, Pro Kit is $347, and Team Kit starts at $497 (up to $997 depending on how much source material you upload) — one-time, no monthly fees, no seat charges, no renewal costs. The files you download are yours forever. Organizations modernizing a catalog at scale can use the InstructorKit Library monthly plan — see the Library question below.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are available where supported by your browser.
  • What is your refund policy?
Your first purchase is covered by a 7-day satisfaction guarantee — if the output is not what you expected for any reason, email us within 7 days for a full refund. After your first purchase, our standard digital goods policy applies. If a generation fails due to a technical error on our end, you receive a full automatic refund regardless of which order it is. See the full Refund Policy for details.
  • Do you offer discounts for teams or organizations?
For franchise systems, trade associations, and L&D teams building at volume we offer custom arrangements including volume pricing and multi-user access. Contact us to start a conversation.
  • What is InstructorKit Library and how is it priced?
Library is a monthly plan for organizations converting a backlog of existing content — slide decks, manuals, documents — into complete training programs. Each program is built from one source you provide (a manual, an SOP, or a multi-topic doc — roughly 30 to 40 pages of content). The output itself has no page limit; the cap is only on what we ingest per program. Every Library plan delivers all 12 documents, slide narration, and any of 10 languages, included. Plans start at $1,500/month for roughly 6 complete programs monthly, scaling up to enterprise plans for very large source documents and libraries. Unlike unlimited course tools, every Library program is a complete, instructor-ready training program you own forever. Library is set up through a short scoping call that begins with a free sample conversion of one of your own decks.

How it works

  • How long does generation take?
Most kits generate in 3 to 5 minutes. Pro Kit and Team Kit builds with large reference material uploads may take up to 8 minutes. You will see a progress indicator while generation runs.
  • What if I already have training materials I have been using?
That is one of the four ways to start in InstructorKit. Upload your existing PowerPoint, Word document, or PDF and InstructorKit builds the complete kit around it — adding the Student Manual, Facilitator Guide, and all other documents your existing materials were missing. Your content stays yours. We build the packaging around it.
  • Can I edit the output after it is generated?
Pro Kit and Team Kit users can edit every section of every document directly in the browser before downloading. Changes apply to both the Word file and the PDF. Starter Kit users download the files as generated and can edit them in Word or PowerPoint after download.
  • What happens if my generation fails?
If a generation fails due to a technical error, InstructorKit automatically retries once. If it fails again, your payment is automatically refunded in full and you receive an email confirmation. You are welcome to try again at any time — you are not charged until a generation completes successfully.

Compatibility and delivery

  • Can I import InstructorKit output into my LMS?
Yes. Every paid kit includes a SCORM 1.2 package alongside the editable Word and PowerPoint files. Open your LMS's Upload SCORM or Import course flow, drop in the ZIP from InstructorKit, and learners can take the course inside your LMS with completion tracking reported back automatically.
  • Which LMS platforms work with the SCORM package?
Any platform that supports SCORM 1.2 — the most widely adopted LMS standard. Tested platforms include Moodle, Cornerstone, Workday Learning, Docebo, TalentLMS, Litmos, and SAP SuccessFactors. If your LMS lists SCORM 1.2 in its import options, the InstructorKit package will work.
  • What is included inside the SCORM download?
The SCORM ZIP contains a self-contained web version of every document — one SCO (Shareable Content Object) per deliverable — that runs natively inside the LMS, plus a copy of the original editable Word and PowerPoint files bundled under a source folder. You keep the editable originals alongside the LMS-ready package in a single download.
